Visuals have been out and public have been shown what it looks or feels like to ride on India’s first ever engineless train Train 18.

What is new is that the Train 18 is all set to hit the tracks for the trial run along the Bareilly-Moradabad section in Uttar Pradesh.

It is said that the Research Designs and Standards Organization (RDSO) team is also in Moradabad for the trial run.

It has been reported that there will be a first phase where in RDSO will test the train on the Moradabad-Saharanpur route at speeds of 115 Kmph.

After successfully completing this phase on the track, Train 18 will then be run on the Sawai Madhopur-Kota section of the Delhi-Mumbai Rajdhani route.

It is on this section, it will be tested at speeds of 180 Kmph.

It may be noted that the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai rolled out Train 18, a semi-high speed train on
October 29 to replace the classic Shatabdi Express.

The fully air-conditioned and swanky 16-coach train is said to be cruising on the tracks at 160kmph compared to the 30-year old Shatabdi Express which runs at 130kmph speed. </>
